The Cheque Presentation
   Pictured below is Lauren presenting the cheque on behalf of all the dancers from the Jeanette McCulloch School of Dance, to Fund Co-ordinator Irene Axon of the Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital. The presentation took place on 19 February 2008, and the money will be used for much needed research into childhood brain tumours . We'd like to thank Jeanette, Suzanne & Natalie, plus all the dancers (including the men!), who helped to raise this very valuable contribution, and for picking Lauren to nominate a beneficiary for the funds.

The 2007 Fundraising for Brain Tumour Research
   For 2007, three special dance shows will be staged by the Jeanette McCulloch Dance School, which Lauren has been attending since the age of three. These shows will take place in November 2007 at the Theatre Royal, St Helens, Merseyside.

   As always, all the funds raised by these shows will be donated to very worthy and needy causes, and this year will be particularly relevant for us, as we've been offered the opportunity by the dance school to nominate one of the two beneficaries of this year's show. Suffice to say, we have chosen to donate the funds to brain tumour research, which we know from experience is extremely expensive, and always needed. We will be ring fencing this funding with the 'Imagine' Charity at the Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital, through Lauren's Consultants within the hospital's Oncology Unit.

   I'm looking forward to participating in a special 'Dads' dance, and i would like to take the opportunity to thank all the other guys (in advance) for putting in that special effort to assist the school in raising the funds. We'd particularly like to thank Jeanette, Suzanne and Natalie for their kind and loving support of Lauren, both generally, and for the fundraising opportunity from this year's event.

   Every year, one of the shows is filmed and offered for sale on DVD. This proves to be very successful, and i may be showing some clips here, so watch this space.
